The BCCI is set to announce a two-match series tie-up in India for the upcoming series opener against Australia in Chennai.
The match will take place on February 13 and 14, 2018, and will be held in the same venue as the last two Tests.
The series opener was a thriller between the two teams as both teams won in the first Test.
The match is scheduled to start at 3pm IST (12.00pm AEDT) on Saturday February 13, 2018.
India has been a one-sided favourite in the series opener with the hosts having taken seven wickets in the match.
Australia, meanwhile, has been reeling after a 4-0 whitewash in the Test series.
The team has scored just 22 runs in the five Tests that India has played, with the most runs coming from the last four Tests.
Australia has been able to score an average of 48.13 in the last five Tests, while India has scored an average around 38.31.
Australia have been struggling with batting in the early part of the series, with some batsmen having scored just six or seven runs in each match.
The batting of Australian fast bowler Matthew Wade, who is also on the side of the bowlers, has also been the Achilles heel for the team.
In India, Australia have been looking to improve their batting and batting in combination, while the batsmen of the Aussies have been getting better at bowling.
The two sides have played five Tests in the past three years.
